Taekwondo combines physical conditioning with mental discipline to achieve balance in life. When training Luke Skywalker to be a Jedi knight, Yoda said, “Do, or do not; there is no ‘try’,” but in Taekwondo we say, “Do, or try, there is no ‘can’t’.”
If we never attempt, we will never succeed; if we don’t practice repeatedly, we will never improve. Mental attitude has a great deal to do with how others see us, and someone who has confidence in his or her abilities will give an impression of being strong and reliable, regardless of any physical limitations.
